Humble Beginnings...
Pastor Alston was raised in Carrboro, North Carolina where she attended Terrell’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church as a child. At the age of nine, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. At the age of twelve, she was aware of the call to ministry on her life.
Having grown up in a Foster Home, Pastor Alston has a soft spot for Foster Children. Her experience in Foster Care taught her to embrace family. As such, she is passionate about encouraging children and teens to appreciate their family. "An absent mom, does not a victim make!" This is the message Pastor Alston strives to relay to individuals.
Today...
Pastor Alston puts her money where here mouth is. She serves as an Advocate for the Foster Care and Adoption System. Following her passion and commitment to reach the children who find themselves in the system, Pastor Alston writes for the Family/Parenting Channel for the Examiner. Her articles continue to receive rave reviews.

A Gifted Writer...
Pastor Alston is a gifted writer with three published books to her credit as well as a songwriter’s project to her credit. "I will never forget the day I realized writing was indeed one of my spiritual gifts", is what Pastor Alston says in reference to her gift of writing. Embracing this wonderful gift, Pastor Alston readily admits that she did not always consider it a gift. "I simply passed it off as my way of releasing pain."
A Talented Songwriter...
As the founder of IMAGE Praise and Worship Choir, Pastor Alston writes all of the music for the group. Using the gift of writing that God has graciously instilled in her, Pastor Alston has written numerous plays, Monologues, and Curriculum's for Christian Education. She has hosted two internet radio stations; Church Insider Talk Radio and Write Turns Allowed Talk Radio .
Cherished Assets...
Pastor Alston is a powerful and anointed Preacher. She is also a gifted writer and lyricist who brings a fresh approach to every venue she is blessed to participate in. However, when asked what she cherishes most, it becomes clear that these things are not the focus of Pastor Alston’s life.
Pastor Alston is the loving mother of two Daughters who she lovingly refers to as "The Pride in my smile and the Grey in my hair". Though she loves her family, still they are not Pastor Alston's most cherished asset. We find out what is as she echoes the words of the late Rev. James Moore, “My relationship with Christ means all the world to me!”
